This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”Hebrews 6:19-20

My sister, Vivian holding her granddaughter as we sail away from Miami - added an artistic filter - paint daubs

Our recent family outing on a sailboat in Miami’s Biscayne Bay gave me much anxiety, at first.  A storm was looming close to us with dark menacing clouds and high winds. I thought, “This is crazy, I want to turn around and go back to the safety of the harbor!” My brother, the captain, knew what He was doing. He managed to stir the boat around the storm and went directly to a little harbor inlet on the other side of the bay.  As soon as we entered, the wind and water calmed down almost instantly. All my anxiety went away when the anchor dropped and we were still.

Like the ocean, we never know what trouble or circumstances can toss our lives to and fro like a little boat in a storm.  The Lord Jesus offers us a sure security to keep our souls steady in life’s storms.  Let Him give you inner calmness and peace as well.

Here are some pictures I took on that trip and also of a harbor in Ft. Lauderdale, taken some months ago.

This first one shows how peaceful the water was in the inlet.  I added an artistic filter – watercolor.
